Water of different qualities is used in a wide range of industrial processes. After usage, various substances will enter the water streams, generating the industrial wastewater whose characteristics may include recalcitrant organics, high salinity, heavy metals, extreme pH, high turbidity, etc. Nowadays, water in industry tends to form a recycling loop, as boosted by the regional water scarcity, strict policies on emission control, and arising public concerns as well. The trend would increase the challenge of technical solutions and management tools. Hence, the IWA conference “Water in Industry” was initiated to provide a knowledge sharing platform on new advances related to the water cycle in industry.
The conference took place in August 23-25, 2021 in a virtual form, based in Nanjing, China. 50 speeches were delivered for around 150 attendees from 16 countries. More info about the conference can be found in the Conference Manual. All attendees can re-access the conference materials, including the abstract book, all posters, some presentation slides. The conference videos can also be replayed in the virtual conference hall.
A unique access code is required for the conference materials and the videos. For those who have not registered for the conference, please contact us for an access code.
The conference will take place in the International Water Hub (IWH) located in Jiangxin Island, Nanjing, China.
